I am writing to confirm receipt of your emails dated May 23, 2019 and May 25, 2019.
I response to your concerns about the records not being in an electronic format, I confirm that Island Health’s privacy policy does not allow for us to mail sensitive personal medical information on an electronic medium, such as CD or usb stick. I advised you of this during several of our phone calls.
I understand that you have issues with the severing applied to the records. Please be advised we provided everything we are legally entitled to provide. If you are unhappy with our decision, it is your right to register a complaint with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner. I have attached another copy of their contact information and how to request a review.
Any further issues or concerns can be addresses to the Commissioner’s office.
